During my studentship of the course in school technology in 1977, I learnt what it means to be a student of teaching school technology. I stayed at YMCA, Nottingham, and the inset picture shows the part of the YMCA opposite Victoria Market and other areas of the city.

With changing times and new knowledge being created in the various areas of knowledge, research in pedagogy and learning process, the teacher has to done new roles, It a teacher become an action researcher and reflective teacher-learner, and facilitator of learning. he or she can live up to emergent role, comments Kishore (2019) while reviewing the article.

Earlier, on most cultural and religious festivals, simple floor paintings with chalk paste were drawn to welcome the deity related to the festival. In Rajasthan mandanas were drawn by the women folks along with the children to begin the festival. Drawing such mandanas provided the children the fine motor training which was an essential part of their developmental milestone and led to readiness for handwriting skills.

West Zone Science Teaching Aids Award (1993) was accorded by Science and Technology Department of Government of Rajasthan for securing first position citing in the covering letter that it was a matter of pride for the State that Dr Lalit Kishore, Deputy Director, Lok Jumbish won the first prize at Teaching Aids Fair at Nehru Vigyan Kendra, Mumbai.

A ten-hour intervention was taken up with grade one students in the beginning of session at Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2, Bathinda, through micro-learning task sheets as shown in the inset visuals. The intervention was reported have improved the handwriting of the children as compared to the last year’s batch ant it was seen as a viable intervention worthy of institutionalization as writing readiness course.

In order to tear paper, the child with special needs will learn to hold the paper between the thumb and pointing finger of each hand leading to better pinch and pincer grasp which essential for better tripod grasp of pencil later.(Kishore 2019)

Children with learning disabilities require visual support and rhythmic rendering of text for their cognitive development and working memory.

A combination of visual support and rap poem can lead to effective learning of physics by verbal students who cannot write.

Lalit Kishore The Japanese art of paper folding or origami was tried to learn certain geometry and mathematical concepts at the middle school level. The interest as this stage should on the paper's flat-foldability and the use folds to gain mathematical concepts. Experience can be good for children with dyscalculia.

If used through trained therapist and certified animal, the animal-assisted therapy (AAT) can help children across their ability range. In many countries, there exist manuals to encourage therapy professionals within the health care system, education system of children with special needs, child welfare systems, and child protection agencies to incorporate therapy animals into their programs.
