For the present study, a mixed methodology of 'Design and Development' (D&D), clinical trialling and expert validation was used by two-researcher team. The objective of the study were: (1) To develop a gesture vocabulary of over 200 gestures by collating, documenting and contextualising; (2) To produce a special educators' manual for practice and referencing; and (3) To produce a clinical trial video to standardise the procedure of communication with special kids through gesture-based rendering of single object attributive mini-poem.
