Stressing the importance of folk drawing as visual codes, Kishore (1999) serialized folk drawing in the Youth Corner of Sunday Sentinel daily newspaper published from Guwahati. The depictions were done in the successive drawing format to make it possible for teachers and students both to do them easily. Folk drawings are meant for recognition of objects with minimum details and can work as learning tools across the ability spectrum.
