The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) - a professional association in the UK with the goal of advancing the chemical sciences– was visited in 1977 under Commonwealth Fellowship Scheme with a view to look at the links between chemistry and engineering as well as technology. The visitor, Lalit Kishore, was then working at Motilal Nehru School of Sports, Rai , India.
