The experiment was undertaken with senior students who were learning English as new language in which singing, focus on sound-and-speech awareness, corrective reinforcement, practice and worksheets of word search puzzles were used to teach brainfully the correspondence between the sound of the vowels and the grapheme spelling pattern of 13 selected words to be mastered in one hour session.
