Roth Teej is celebrated on Bhadrapada Shukla Tritiya by the followers of Jainism by eating only one single grain-made thick bread or chapatti called ‘roth’, once during the day. The festival is a reminder that material wealth is not important and gratification of senses leads to strife and sorrow.
