During the last one decade, however, there has been an increasing awareness and identification of children with LD in India because of their being pushed out of general education schools after admission. Thus, utter lack of awareness about the disorder and poor understanding of the inherent complexities of LD along with non-availability of good teacher development institutions, and non-production of research-based learning material for children with LD, the education of children with LD continues to be in shambles in India. In such a situation, inclusive education along with high quality teacher training can be most helpful for children with LD.
