Kishore (2019) provides the guidelines for managing and educating the five category of children with mental challenges. Children with mental challenges are currently being put in five categories as follows: Borderline (IQ: 70-90); mild (IQ: 50-70); moderate (35-50); severe (20-35); and profound (IQ: less than 20) as per the American Association of Mental Retardation. They respond to firmness, assisted practice and well-modeled acts of teachers and caregivers.
