Kishore (1983) , reports that a simple single-transistor audio-oscillator was made by quite a few students of MNSS, Rai, in the early 1980s. An attempt was made to calibrate it using a resonance tube as a part of physics investigatory project. Students learned how to do good soldering and design a circuit to be mounted in a box.
