Kishore (2018) exemplifies a short poem for children with special needs and states, "The poem has to be done with gesture-vocabulary link first for the formation of mental images. It should be followed by repeated recitation of each line and collective singing of the poem. Enough practice and home support for remembering the poem or at least three words should be the outcome."
